Music, Arts, and Literature

Right after Morning Circle time, we spend our transition time listening to our listening calendar selection from SQUILT as we get settled in for our Read Aloud time. As the music ends, the reading begins. This time is a comfy, special time where we are all cuddled up as I read a good book. Then, every other week, we are blessed to be able to partake in the lessons from SQUILT Live, where the kids are developing not only and appreciation, but a LOVE for music. Weekly, we do an artist study in which we put the focus on understanding the artist and his/her process of creating.
